Each runner earns points equal to their finishing place.
1st place = 1 point
2nd place = 2 points
10th place = 10 points
The top 5 runners from each team count toward the team’s score.
Add together the finishing places of those 5 runners.
Lowest total score wins!
Example:
Team A finishes 2nd, 5th, 8th, 12th, 15th → 2 + 5 + 8 + 12 + 15 = 42 points
Team B finishes 3rd, 4th, 6th, 9th, 10th → 3 + 4 + 6 + 9 + 10 = 32 points
Team B wins because 32 is lower than 42.
6th and 7th runners matter too.
They don’t add to their team’s score, but they can finish ahead of another team’s scoring runners, increasing the other team’s total.
